Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5 Nominated for 2014 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

Courtesy NickelodeonKaty Perry, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, One Direction and Maroon 5 are among the stars nominated in the music categories for the 2014 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, which will be handed out March 29. Mark Wahlberg will host the telecast, which will take place at the University of Southern California’s Galen Center.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Katy will be competing against Taylor and Lady Gaga, among others, in the category of Favorite Female Singer, while her song “Roar” will battle it out with hits by Miley Cyrus, One Direction and Taylor Swift in the Favorite Song Category. Katy is also nominated for Favorite Voice From an Animated Movie, for her role in Smurfs 2.

Bruno, Justin Timberlake and Pharrell Williams are among the nominees for Favorite Male Singer. Maroon 5 is up for Favorite Music Group, and Adam Levine tells Us Weekly, “We are so excited to be nominated…We were all bitten by the music bug at a very young age so it’s always great to be recognized by the kids. Thanks to all of our fans!” Their competition includes OneRepublic and One Direction.

Voting begins today across all Nickelodeon digital platforms, as well as on the official Nickelodeon Twitter page, where you can vote by using Kids’ Choice Awards hashtags.
